All Souls Day Mass and Burial 2024
There was a large and unexpected turnout for All Souls’ Day Mass held at the Our Lady of Sorrows Mausoleum this morning. For the past several years, this Mass was celebrated with members of the Order of Malta, just before the placement of unclaimed cremated remains in Sister BJ’s Pantry’s crypt at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. This year, the unclaimed remains of 73 individuals were given a final resting place.Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Paul Coakley and Father Rex Arnold. More than 100 people gathered for Mass and to pray for the souls of those being interred. Burying the dead is one of the corporal works of mercy, and praying for the dead is one of the spiritual works of mercy. On this All Souls’ Day, pray for all those who have passed from this life, especially those who have nobody to pray for them.Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Sr. BJ's Homeless Friends Day 2023

On Oct. 14th, 2023 was the Sr. BJ’s Homeless Friends day event. This is our biggest event of each year! This year we served 250 people. At the event the pantry gives away coats, jeans, socks, dog and cat food and hygiene kits. All thanks to our wonderful sponsors and partners!

Mount St Mary High School Tennis Shoe Drive

Mount St Mary’s High Schoo collected 275 pairs of tennis shoes for Sr. BJ’s Pantry! They also let Sr. Barbara Joseph drive the golf cart for homecoming! She loved it! The pantry is so blessed by the support of the Catholic community in OKC!

Crypt Blessing For the Friends of Sr. BJ's Pantry

On November 2, 2022, on the feast of All Souls, we laid to rest the first two of our friends in the crypt for Sr. BJ's Pantry at Resurection Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
May their souls and the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
